I'm a twentysomething American woman trying to get through grad school without going crazy. I read too much fanfiction, don't write nearly as much, and am not so much shy and slightly social-phobic. kay_alpha is derived from Cu K-α, a type of x-ray commonly used in crystallography. A couple of Christmases ago, my boyfriend's family informed me I needed to pick a Rock Band name, and it was the first sufficiently appealing thing that came to mind.
